Recognition
Somebody’s Daughter Theatre
Over the years Sombody's Daughter Theatre's work has been recognised through many awards and accomplishments including:
- Winner of a VicHealth Innovation in Health Promotion Award (2001)
- Winner of a Green Room Award for Significant Contribution to Fringe/ Independent Theatre (2003)
- Winner of an Australian Crime and Violence Prevention Merit Award (2003)
- Equity Trustees Not for Profit Judges Award – for Artistic Director, Maud Clark (2005) who also became a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in recognition of her work with SDT (2006)
- Selected as one of the eleven leading key producing organisations in the Community Partnerships division of The Australia Council for the Arts.
HighWater Theatre
In 2005 Gateway Community Health was awarded the Australia Council’s Community Cultural Development Partners Award,
This award recognises one non-arts agency in Australia, which has been judged as demonstrating best practice in collaborating with an arts organisation (Somebody’s Daughter Theatre) on a community project, ‘HighWater.’
